Title: The Companion That Leaves You at Death

First of all, I warmly welcome you, dear reader, for taking the time to read this story.

Today, as I sat in quiet reflection, a thought crossed my mind — how many true companions does a human really have in this life? I pondered deeply, diving into my heart and mind, and I came to realize that a person truly has only three companions. In this story, I want to speak about just one of them.

There is one companion that stays with us until our very last breath. The moment our soul departs from the body and our eyes shut forever, this companion also leaves us — and that companion is our wealth.

Yes, the very same wealth for which we may have upset countless people... perhaps even betrayed some, snatched away others’ rights, told endless lies, neglected our parents, and hurt those who loved us.

And yet, when we die, the shroud we are wrapped in has no pockets. There is no locker or safe inside the grave where we can store the riches we earned. Still, we spend our lives chasing that very wealth — lying, deceiving, ignoring our families — all for something that won’t even accompany us into the afterlife.

In doing so, we drift away from our Creator. We trade away our faith for fleeting gain.

This is something every human being must deeply reflect upon.

Let me be clear — there is nothing wrong with earning wealth. In fact, it is necessary. But earn it with truth. Earn it with integrity, with hard work, without cheating or harming others. Earn it while keeping your parents happy, fulfilling your responsibilities, and staying connected to your values. That is the kind of wealth worth having.
