"Gratitude in the Time of Crisis: What the Pandemic Taught Us"
The COVID-19 pandemic — a name that still echoes in the corners of our minds — brought the entire world to its knees. Countries across the globe fought an invisible enemy, and through the relentless efforts of doctors, nurses, health workers, police, and everyday citizens, we stood together. Our nation, like many others, battled bravely and came out stronger.
There's no doubt that the virus caused tremendous loss. Financial systems collapsed, businesses shut down, and countless families lost their loved ones — friends, parents, siblings, and spouses. The pain was real. Especially for those living hand-to-mouth, who worked each day just to afford a meal — the struggle was unimaginable. Every person, rich or poor, faced their own challenges. It was a shared suffering the world will never forget.
But in the middle of this darkness, there were sparks of light — moments of unexpected goodness that deserve to be remembered.
Before the pandemic, life was a race. Everyone was busy — chasing degrees, promotions, or dreams in far-off cities and countries. Children lived away from their parents for education, husbands from wives…
